Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Marketing and Communication Associate. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by leveraging marketing strategies, storytelling, and communication initiatives to advance our mission of empowering youth and women.

Responsibilities:

• Storytelling:
  • Craft compelling narratives that highlight the success stories and impact of our programs.
  • Collaborate with program teams to gather authentic and impactful stories from beneficiaries.
  • Create multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and testimonials, to effectively communicate our mission and achievements.
• Social Media Management:
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to engage and grow our online community.
  • Manage daily content creation, scheduling, and monitoring across various platforms.
  • Implement social media campaigns to drive awareness, participation, and support.
• Blogging:
  • Write engaging and informative blog posts that align with our organization’s goals and resonate with our target audience.
  • Conduct research to stay informed about industry trends and issues related to youth and women empowerment.
• Newsletter Writing:
  • Create and curate content for regular newsletters to keep our supporters informed about our activities, achievements, and upcoming events.
  • Segment and personalize newsletters to cater to different donor and audience segments.
• SEO:
  • Optimize website content for search engines to improve visibility and reach a wider audience.
  • Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices to enhance online discoverability.
• Updating Website Pages:
  • Regularly update and maintain the organization’s website to reflect current programs, events, and achievements.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure the website is visually appealing and user-friendly.
• Other Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives using analytics tools.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing and communications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, blogging, and newsletter writing.
• Basic understanding of SEO principles.
• Familiarity with WordPress
• Familiarity with Canva
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Passion for social impact and a commitment to the mission of empowering youth and women.
